The Message

Who is the Holy Spirit?

Christians believe that there is only one God. He reveals Himself as three distinct persons - God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

Now that Jesus has ascended to heaven, the Holy Spirit continues His work on earth. He seeks to reveal Jesus to all. All those who trust in Jesus are blessed because the Holy Spirit lives within them. He enables them to understand things about Jesus and to get to know Him in a way that non-Christians can never do. The presence of the Holy Spirit is the clearest sign that a person is a Christian.

The Holy Spirit makes the Bible, God's Word, clear to those who rely on Him for help. The Holy Spirit is the author of the Bible as He inspired and guided those who wrote the books. Because of this we can be sure that the Bible is the Word of God.

We all need to know the Holy Spirit working within us as only He can show us Jesus Christ and enable us to trust in Jesus for salvation.

The Holy Spirit is precious to all Christians and is the guarantee that they are His children and He is their Father. He causes them to worship God and helps them to live lives that are pleasing to God and beneficial to all humanity.
