The Message

Who is God's Son?

Throughout history only one man has claimed to be the Son of God and lived a life consistent with that claim.

Jesus Christ, when questioned at His trial prior to His execution was challenged, "Tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God!" (Matthew 26:63) His reply was brief and to the point: "I am!" It was for openly stating that He was the Son of God that Jesus was condemned to death. He never denied this charge for as He had said, "I and the Father are one," that is they were of one mind, purpose and nature.

It was not just Jesus' enemies who said that He was the Son of God but so did His followers. Peter, on of the twelve disciples said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God." (Matthew 16:16). Paul, another of Jesus' followers wrote: Jesus came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. (Romans 9:5)

But these are just the proclamations of men. Who did God say was His Son? At Jesus' baptism a voice from heaven proclaimed, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." (Matthew 3:17)

His enemies, His friends and God Himself all loudly declare that Jesus is the Son of God!
