How did God give His Son?

God gave His Son in a most amazing way. And the heart of God gave Him in love. God was aware that our sin was leading us to destruction, but God in His love was determined that this would not have to be so. God sent His Son to the earth to live a perfect life. He knew that humanity would hate His Son, and He knew that humanity would crucify His Son. But God also knew that this was the only way sin could be dealt with.

Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down his life for his friends (John 15:13). And so it was, despite being God's only Son, God was willing to give Him to be put to death that the price of sin should be paid, for the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). And because Jesus was perfect, He wasn't bearing the punishment for His own sin, but for the sin of the world.

The question is do you believe that God sent His Son to earth some 2000 years ago and do you believe that He died bearing the punishment for your sin?

God gave His Son in a way incomprehensible to humanity: allowing Him to live a perfect life on earth, only to be nailed to a cross by the very creatures He had made.
